In a significant move for both the player and the program, Nick Bourgeois, a standout linebacker from Hutto High School in Hutto, TX, has officially announced his commitment to the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns. The 6'0", 238-pound athlete, ranked as a four-star recruit, has garnered attention for his powerful playing style and versatility on the field.

Bourgeois expressed his excitement about joining Louisiana, emphasizing the strong connections he formed with the coaching staff. “Building a bond with Coach Fitzgerald Touissant and Defensive Coordinator Daniel Dixon was crucial for me,” he shared. “They showed genuine interest in my development and made me feel like part of the family from the start.”

Another key factor in his decision was the promise of early playing time. “I want to contribute immediately and help the team succeed. Knowing that Louisiana is looking for players who can step in right away made a significant difference for me,” Bourgeois explained.

With his commitment, Bourgeois joins a Ragin’ Cajuns team looking to bolster its defensive lineup. His combination of athleticism and football IQ is expected to make an immediate impact in the Sun Belt Conference. The Hutto community is proud to see one of its own take this significant step in his athletic career, and fans are eager to see Bourgeois in action for Louisiana.
