Melo Cooks, a talented 5 star senior quarterback from Higley High School in Gilbert, AZ, has made headlines by committing to the Nebraska Cornhuskers early in the recruiting cycle. This decision has many fans buzzing, especially given Nebraska's recent run as defending champions and the fresh energy brought by new head coach Rodney Saulsberry.

In his last high school game, Cooks showcased his skills with an impressive performance, throwing for 292 yards and completing 24 of 31 passes, along with 5 touchdown passes. These stats highlight not only his capability on the field but also his potential to thrive at the collegiate level.

When asked about his commitment, Melo said, "Honestly, it just felt right, you know? Nebraska is lit! Coach Saulsberry’s got that vibe, and I’m all about that winning energy. Plus, I’m tryna put my name on the map and help bring home that hardware!"

Off the field, Cooks excels academically, maintaining a strong GPA that underscores his dedication to both the classroom and the gridiron. As he prepares for this next chapter, there’s no doubt that Melo Cooks is ready to rise to the challenge, proving that he’s more than just a standout player—he’s a future star in the making.
